Pink city Jaipur Tours

Jaipur is the capital of India’s Rajasthan state. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color. At the center of its stately street grid (notable in India) stands the opulent, colonnaded City Palace complex. With gardens, courtyards and museums, part of it is still a royal residence.

Known as the Pink City because of the colour of the stone used exclusively in the walled city, Jaipur’s bazaars sell embroidered leather shoes, blue pottery, tie and dye scarves and other exotic wares. Western Rajasthan itself forms a convenient circuit, in the heart of the Thar desert which has shaped its history, lifestyles and architecture.

The city’s colourful, chaotic streets ebb and flow with a heady brew of old and new. Careering buses dodge dawdling camels, leisurely cycle-rickshaws frustrate swarms of motorbikes, and everywhere buzzing autorickshaws watch for easy prey. In the midst of this mayhem, the splendours of Jaipur’s majestic past are islands of relative calm evoking a different pace and another world.

At the city’s heart, the City Palace continues to house the former royal family; the Jantar Mantar, the royal observatory, maintains a heavenly aspect; and the honeycomb Hawa Mahal gazes on the bazaar below. And just out of sight, in the arid hill country surrounding the city, is the fairy-tale grandeur of Amber Fort, Jaipur’s star attraction.

Manali Leh Ladhak Srinagar

LADAKH is sometimes called 'Little Tibet'. It has a similar landscape and culture that bears this comparison. The Ladakh range starts from the Indus-Shyok confluence and the Zanskar range is the dividing line between the Indus and Zanskar valleys. The Great Himalayan range in its S demarcates

Two main districts comprise Ladakh: Leh and Kargil. Leh can be subdivided into Indus Valley, Nubra Valley, Shyok Valley and Markha Valley. The main rivers are Indus, Zanskar, and Shyok; like the mountain ranges, these rivers run roughly east to West. Today Ladakh is open to outsiders, or at least as open as its geography permits.

  1. No special permission is needed to enter Ladakh and within the region, you can travel around with relative freedom. Ladakh is full of amazing sights- strange gompas perched on soaring hilltops, dwarfed by snowcapped mountain.
  2. The barren, shattered looking landscapes splashed with small but brilliant patches of green; ancient palaces clinging to sheer rock walls. But most of all it is notable for its delightful people- friendly as only Tibetans can be immensely colorful. It's an amazing place.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Since everybody will have their own stuff to sort out before they disappear for more than a week, we meet directly at Delhi; 05:00 pm at Majnu Ka Tila bus stop to be precise. (We can guide you with travel assistance to Delhi and back) From here, we board a direct bus to McLeod Ganj saying goodbye to our city lives.

Day 2: We reach McLeod Ganj early in the morning. Our home-stay is located in Dharamkot, a picturesque hill town which is just a 10 min cab ride away from us with spectacular views of the entire valley. After breakfast at McLeod Ganj, we head to H. H. Dalai Lama Temple, Namgyal Monastery, and the Tibet Museum. We will also visit the St. Johns in the Wilderness Church and then sample some local cuisine for dinner.

Day 3: A good nights rest and a heavy breakfast later, we will head to Naddi, a tiny, peaceful village nestled amongst the pine-covered mountains and vibrant yellow mustard fields. We'll begin our first hike toward the pristine Naddi River where well spend our day lazing next to the river and exploring the valley. Dinner will be back at McLeod Ganj, a post which you'll be free to explore the night-life of the town.

Day 4: Aaah! The big day! We'll trek to Triund, one of the highest snow-capped peaks of the Dhauladhar mountain range. After an early breakfast, we'll head to Galudev Temple. We'll make our way to Triund, which is 2,850 meters (9,350 ft) above sea level. It is a day-long hike but the serene mountainous landscape, rare wildlife and a trail dotted with magical little cafés with breathtaking views will keep you going. At night well camp in tents facing the majestic snow-clad mountain range.

Day 5: After experiencing an unforgettable sunrise, well have breakfast and trek right up to the snow line. Be warned, we take our snowball fights very seriously. Small icy streams and glacial waterfalls are a common sight on this trail. Another night of camping, music and good food is what lies ahead of you this day.

Day 6: After breakfast we say goodbye to Triund and start our descent, reaching our hotel in Dharamkot by afternoon. The day is yours to rest those muscles you never knew you had. In the evening well stroll around the quiet hillside of Dharamkot before we meet for dinner later. Trust us, there's no better place to witness a sunset in this valley from. The evening can be spent shopping or wandering around the lanes of the McLeod market.

Parvati Valley

The mountains have always been a great getaway for many travelers. But how often do you travel to the mountains, climb it, and sit in a natural hot water spring with a view of the glorious snow-capped Himalayas? How often do you live in a local village in the middle of the mountains, sipping on your tea while staring at the gigantic Himalayas through your window pane? We know your answer. This trip is gonna have it all. Don't think twice and pack those bags. We're going to the hills.

Location: Parvati Valley, Himachal Pradesh (Kalga, Pulga, Tosh Kasol, Chalal)

Trip Duration: 5 nights - 6 days

Tour starts and end 11th (Sat) - 16th (Thu) May

Highlights:

-Day hike to the forests of Kalga

-Visit Tosh & Chalal

-Camping by the Parvati river in Katagla

Itinerary:

Day 1: Our journey begins in the capital (We can guide you with travel assistance to Delhi & back). Assemble at the Kashmere Gate bus stop at 5:00 pm. We board our bus to Bhuntar. Goodbye traffic, goodbye families, and probably (hopefully), goodbye cellphone reception for a week.

Day 2: We will reach Bhuntar early next morning from where we shall commute to the picturesque Kalga, a hilltop village nestled in the arms of a range of snow-capped mountains. Settle into our homestay. We'll take the rest of the day to explore the beautiful woodside hamlet.

Day 3: We are going to explore Tosh, a beautiful rustic village with a vantage point of the valley. We spend the day eating in the cafes here and taking a long walk to a waterfall. We return to our homestay in Kalga for dinner.

Day 4: After breakfast, we say buh-bye to Kalga and head to the bustle of Kasol by afternoon. Check into our swiss army tents on the banks of the Parvati river. After a quick lunch, we make our way to Kasol. In Kasol everything can be explored on foot. Chalal; a small village across the river and Manikaran; yet another hot spring (say whaaat!) in a gurudwara are the nearby attractions. Kasol is also a great place for getting a tattoo and yoga classes. The Parvati river runs right across Kasol. If you have the patience, we can go down to the river and skip some stones. Well find a nice cafe and have dinner together.

Day 5: This is our last day in Himachal. You will have the day at leisure. Go shopping for those jholas, harem pants, and jewelry that you've always wanted to buy from Himachal. We board our bus for Bhuntar in the evening. Take an overnight bus back to New Delhi. Make the most of this night since we might not be seeing each other again. (aww damn!)

After covering about 7 kilometers, you will come across the first café. The next café is at a distance of about 3 to 5 kilometers from the first café. A lot of people quit at this point. However, we highly recommend that you continue with the climb as the view at the end of the path is marvelous. Feel your fatigue disappear as your eyes feast on the natural hot springs of Kheerganga. If you are lucky enough,
